Shraddhaanjali 2023

Jai Shree Krishna,
Pitri Paksha- is an auspicious time when Hindu’s commemorate their ancestors by offering prayers and food. It’s a way for people to express their heartfelt gratitude towards their parents and ancestors for having helped them with their achievements/accomplishments. It is also an opportunity to pray for their peace. Rituals are performed to make sure that our ancestors receive heaven and become one with God.
I am sure there is someone for everyone here today, that they would like to remember. Today I would like to remember my Nani, whom I’ve never met, as she sadly passed away before I was born. I am grateful to her for bringing up such lovely children including my wonderful mother.
Unfortunately, very few families will do Shraadh, and many do not engage in such puja ceremonies. However, MLVB, being a beacon of light for Sanatan Dharma, helps us to deepen our understanding of our religion and important festivals and rituals. MLVB, under the guidance of our Guruji/Acharyaji, Shree Bankim Gossaiji, plays a huge role for all youths as we learn and understand the importance of our religion so that we can ultimately connect better with God.
Thank you
Saanika Salota
